Introduction: Swiftlet Farming For Dummies !!!

Hello to all my dear friends and newbies in swiftlet farming.

This short introduction is made available to all newbies who have little of no knowledge on swiftlet farming.

For the pass few months after writing various articles about my experiences in swiftlet farming plus many tips and visits that I made, I have been receiving with lots of compliments and requests.

One of the request that really touch my heart was from Mr.Giap Khaw.

He was very sincere in his request and he have zero knowledge on swiftlet farming but have a very high interest in it.

He asked me if I could let him a URL where I put in basic information for dummies (a completely blank person about swiftlet farming) like him. He told me to called it "Swiftlet Farming For Dummies".

In responding to this special request I have activated a blog site that I think will meet his request.

I am going to make it very basic and I hope it will benefit all those that are new to swiftlet ranching/farming.

Wellcome to my : "Swiftlet Farming For Dummies".

Dear Harry,

I am glad we have such a good guru like you in Malaysia. I am very interested in BH farming. reading your blog, there will a course at Mandarin Court. May I know what are the advantages (I know one is conducted by Pejabat Haiwan) comparing to others ( I saw fews in the market). A bit of confusion for people who have zero knowledge like me. Thanks

Dear Harry,Its timely that I discovered your blog about swiftlet farming. In this kind of business theres never too late to be in the BH business.

Its really a great relief when I attended your recent seminar in behrang.I learnt alot of truth about swiftlets breeding and birdhouse matter as compared from what I have picked up from those follow- the- crowd type of birdnest enthusiasts.

That is why at the seminar a heard alot of participants during lunch and tea break time confessing of their foolishness of not listening to the right people first like you Harry.Just because they some money they just plunged into the businesss and later discovered that no birds or very little birds come to their birdhouses. In the end they make no returns.Sad.

They should know that in this business the rate of failure is about 70 percent. But to get right information on how to run this business is not difficult.Just come to this kind of seminar and later get intouch with one another who has got proper coaching from Harry and some other successful swiftlets breeders, presto we could be on the right tract.

Hi Hurry,

Just come to know Swiftlet Farming. May I know what do you think will be the possible main reasons of the 70% failure rate?

Any finance institution will support the loan for this investment or not.

I've been reading your articles and they're so interesting.
You must be the most HONEST & HELPFUL guy around.....if a secret can make tons of money, why share with others ??? right ??but not you.

Thanks "Hairy"..your name should have been "feathery".No offence.

Good Day Mr.Hurry,

I am not quite sure if this your blog for Dummies (I'm just one of those..ha!) still pretty much active. But I find it no harm to leave my queries anyway :)

I have just recently became fancinating about this swiflet farming biz tro friends in Sarawak whoes showed me one of the swiflet house in Kuching. Boy! I was so impressed and stunned with the successful breeding of the new swiflet lifes. I think this biz is as good in protecting and helping the growthrate of the birds as in the biz venture itself.

Since I live in PJ, I have been searching more info and proper contacts concerning this swiflet farming some times till I knocked into you now.

My queries are:-

1. What would be the basic steps dummies like me need to look at in this venture?

2. What are the pro & cons in setting up the swiflet house in PJ? What will be the restrictions??

3. Since I'm the unemployed, would you be kind enough to provide some foc services and advices?

I shall look forward to heard from your positive reply soon.

Thank you & Best Rdgs,
Alfred Tan
